 &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Since Wednesday night, about 20,000 people gathered here at the sprawling Exhibition Grounds have taken the 'prasadam' being distributed by the Baithini Goud family in the heart of the city.Hundreds more were standing in queues Thursday morning.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;They gulped down a live 'murrel' fish with a yellow herbal paste in its mouth, which is believed to provide the much-needed relief, if taken for three consecutive years. For vegetarians, the family gives the medicine with jaggery.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;The turnout, however, was not in lakhs as claimed by the family, which changed the name of the fish medicine to 'fish prasadam' four years ago to avoid legal problems.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;The free distribution of 'prasadam' began at 10.30 p. m. Wednesday at 32 counters after the Goud family performed 'puja' at their ancestral house in Doodhbowli in the old city.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Family head Bathini Harinath Goud said the counters would remain open till 10 p. m. Thursdayor till the last patient gets 'prasadam'.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Men, women and children lined up for taking the medicine several hours before the counters opened.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;It was sheer faith which brought many to the venue. &amp;quot;This is the third time I have come here as I got some relief earlier,&amp;quot; said Bhumiya Naik, who came from Latur, Maharashtra.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;There were many first-timers like Ajmal Khan from Bidar, Karnataka. He heard about the medicine from his friends. &amp;quot;I have been suffering from asthma for the last seven years. I have tried everything but nothing worked. Now I want to try this,&amp;quot; he said.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;The fisheries department has supplied 40,000 murrel fingerlings for the annual event held every year on the first day of 'Mrigasira Karti', which heralds the onset of monsoon.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Over 600 policemen have been deployed at the venue as part of security measures. Various departments are providing water, sanitation and other basic amenities to the patients. Voluntary organisations have also chipped in by distributing free food and water packets.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;On the directions of the Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission, the Hyderabad district administration was ensuring that no child is forcibly given the fish medicine. The rights panel had issued the order early this week on the petition by an organization for children's rights, Balala Hakkula Sangham.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;The NGO argued that forcibly giving fish medicine was a violation of children's rights. It also alleged that distribution of the medicine under unhygienic conditions may cause more harm than good.(IANS)&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;The fish medicine lost its popularity in recent years after some groups, working to inculcate scientific temper among people, termed it as a fraud. They also approached a lower court, claiming that since the herbal paste contains heavy metals it can cause serious health problems.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;But the Goud family claims that the tests in laboratories conducted as per court orders revealed that the herbal paste is safe.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;The Goud family has been distributing the 'fish prasadam' free of cost for the last 165 years. While studies have demonstrated that low levels of alcohol intake can have protective effects for the heart, and can possibly reduce the risk of developing high blood pressure , research has also clearly demonstrated that consuming alcohol in the setting of existing high blood pressure is unhealthy.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Alcohol directly raises blood pressure, and further acts to damage the walls of blood vessels, which can elevate the blood pressure further and make it more difficult to treat, while simultaneously increasing the risk of complications.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; 2.&lt;strong&gt;Salt&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; In some people, eating too much salt can make high blood pressure much worse. In others, the same salt consumption may have no effect. For someone with high blood pressure, the doctor may advise less. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Read nutrition labels. Almost all packaged foods contain sodium. Every time you prepare or eat a packaged food, know how much sodium is in one serving. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Keep a sodium diary. You may be surprised at how much sodium you consume each day and the diary will help you decide which foods to decrease or eliminate.&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Use spices and herbs instead of salt to season the food you prepare at home. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Eat more fruits, vegetables, grains, and low-fat dairy foods.&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;   &lt;li&gt;If you consume alcohol at all, consume moderate amounts. For men, this is less than two 12 oz servings of beer, or two 5 oz glasses of wine, or two 1 1/2 oz servings of &amp;quot;hard&amp;quot; alcohol a day. They are absolutely natural with zero side effects.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rubbing your left and right hand nails with each other is a powerful hair loss solution and causes faster hair growth. It is extremely simple yet very effective. You need to fold both your palms inwards and place the fingernails of both hands against each other. Then with regular swift motions, rub them against each other. There are nerve endings below the nails which are connected to your scalp. This rubbing procedure increases the blood flow to the scalp and helps in strengthening the roots. It not only helps in curbing hair loss, but also leads to regrowth of lost hair in people suffering from baldness or alopecia areata. And if that is not good enough, it also brings back the color naturally thus getting rid of the problem of gray hair. Trust me, it is the best thing you could do for your hair. It is simple and can be done anywhere anytime. Do it for about 5-7 minutes twice a day. It is tried and tested and will definitely show results. You need to be patient though. You will begin to notice a difference in about a month and by the end of 6 months you would probably be successful in ridding yourself of all your hair problems.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Coconut milk is another magic potion for your hair. Take a dry coconut and grate it. Grind to a fine paste and then sieve through a soft fine cloth to collect the milk of the coconut. Make around 1-2 cups of milk depending on the length of your hair. Apply the milk on the scalp and hair and leave to dry. Keep it for about 2 hrs and then rinse your hair with normal water (do not apply shampoo). This will leave the pure coconut oil in your hair. Keep the oil for 24 hours and shampoo the following day. This process will make your hair softer and smoother to touch and you will see an almost immediate drastic reduction in your rate of hair loss. For chronic cases of hair loss, do this once a week. Eventually once the problem is resolved completely, you can do this once in 2 or 3 weeks. It helps not only in reducing hair fall but also improves the overall health and texture of hair.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Massage your scalp with a good hair oil at least twice a week. Leave for 24 hours. Remove the onion pieces and massage your scalp with the rum. Reetha (English Name: Soap Nut, Botanical Name: Sapindus mucorosai), Amla (English Name: Indian Gooseberry, Botanical Name: Phyllanthus amblica) and Shikakai (English Name: Acacia, Botanical Name: Acacia Concinna ) are well known for their hair nourishment qualities. Mix all three in equal quantities and store in a cool dry place. Once a week, soak about 2 – 3 tablespoons (depending on the length of your hair) of this powder in water overnight. In the morning, strain the water through a fine cloth and apply on your scalp and hair. Keep for a half hour and then rinse off with plain water. These herbs have astonishing hair rejuvenation qualities. Apart from stopping hair loss, they make the hair lustrous, black, strong and smooth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Soak 2 tsp of fenugreek flour overnight in water and then apply the paste on the head. Leave for half an hour. Rinse out with warm water. This helps in reducing dandruff as well as hair loss.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Boil the leaves of celery and mint for 20 minutes in water. Strain and let it cool. Applying this water on hair everyday makes the roots strong and arrests hair loss and induces hair growth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Regular exercise can work wonders to reduce hair loss and induce hair growth. Cardiovascular exercises that get your heart rate to go up increase blood supply to all parts of the body including the scalp. There are natural mild laxatives available that can be taken at bed time. Apply this with a cotton swab everyday to the scalp. This helps nourish the hair and cure hair loss.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Soak dry gooseberries and fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Grind to a paste in the morning. Use it as a shampoo while washing hair. This makes the roots strong and is a good hair loss remedy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Meditation. Now I hardly need to stress on the importance of meditation. Stress and tension is the most common cause of hair loss today. So it would be right to cure the root of the problem. In our fast moving lives, it is essential to take out 15 minutes for ourselves to maintain our peace of mind. It may not be possible for you to meditate for an hour everyday. It isn’t for most people. Here is a practical alternative. Choose a nice clean and quiet corner of your house where nobody would disturb you. Slowly close your eyes and filter out all thoughts from your mind. This may be extremely difficult to achieve at first, but keep persevering. Concentrate on your breath. Feel the air moving across your upper lip. While inhaling, think that you are taking in all the positive energy from the environment and while exhaling, you are removing all the negative energy from your body. Do this for 15 minutes. It is not easy to concentrate for 15 minutes on the first day, start with 5 minutes and slowly build it up over some days. Go beyond 15 minutes if time permits. After the session, open your eyes slowly. You are sure to feel peaceful and calm inside. Everyday practice will relieve you of stress and tension. This will help not only in the cure for hair loss, but also many other problems that are caused by stress. It should be as important a routine as eating and sleeping for us. In time we are able to acclimatize our bodies to the outside temperature; however, we have become accustomed to cooler temperatures in the summer and the warmer temperatures in the winter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Cooling Down Tips&lt;/b&gt;:&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Replace the heavy dark fabrics from windows, beds and sofas with soft light colored fabrics&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Keep the drapes drawn during the day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Open the windows in the early evening to let the fresh night air flow through the home.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Put a small fan near the open windows to help with circulating the air.&lt;br /&gt;•Install water fountains in the living room or family area. Chose a size suitable for the area. Install more than 1 if you have space. The sound of the water will lower your temperature. You can play tricks on the body to cool yourself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Have a fan circulating the air near the water fountain. It gives a nice breeze.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Play music with water in the background. If it is an extremely hot day, play winter music to bring you back to the coldness.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Fill spray bottles with distilled water. Periodically mist the room and yourself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Wear light colored clothes made from natural fibers. The synthetic fibers make you sweat more because it blocks the body from sweating freely.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Keep the body well hydrated. Increase your water intake from 8 to 10 on those very hot days. Stay away from sugary drinks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Eat light meals such as salad and soups. Mixing grind nutmeg with milk will work to remove pimples instantly.&lt;br /&gt;4. Applying an orange peel paste on the area of your face with pimples is another effective way.       The orange peel should become a paste by grinding it with little water.&lt;br /&gt;5. For additional protection from the formation of blackheads, combine 1 part fresh lime juice &lt;span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;with 1 part groundnut oil.
